HISTORY

When Johnny Thunder of the legendary Justice Society of America lost control of his magical Thunderbolt to an evil lookalike, the evil Johnny Thunder used the T-Bolt to travel back in time to prevent the origins of Justice Leaguers Batman, the Atom, the Flash, the Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, and Superman. Thunder and his gang believed they would be able to commit crimes without the interference of the JLA.

Members of the Justice Society of America investigated the disappearance of their Johnny Thunder and soon discovered the evil Johnny Thunder's plan. They impersonated the missing Justice Leaguers in the hopes of confusing their foe. The Golden Age Green Lantern Alan Scott, the Golden Age Flash Jay Garrick, and the Golden Age Atom took the identities of their modern counterparts Hal Jordan, Barry Allen, and Ray Palmer, while Mr. Terrific, Doctor Fate, and Hawkman disguised themselves as Batman, Superman, and the Martian Manhunter respectively. Even though the Thunderbolt split himself into six counterparts he was defeated, but escaped under the orders of the evil Johnny Thunder.

Down but not out, Johnny Thunder ordered the T-Bolt to travel back in time and replace the Justice Leaguers with members of his gang. Once time was altered, the Justice Society faced a Lawless League. Monk Loomis wore the power ring of Green Lantern.

Due to their many years of experience, the Justice Society made short work of the Lawless League. Alan Scott was able to capture Green Lantern Monk Loomis in a yellow energy sphere.

Johnny Thunder created three monstrous super-villains, Absorbo-Man, Medusa Man and Repello-Man but the trio was defeated by Doctor Fate. Caught inbetween the ensuing magical battle between Doctor Fate and the Bahdnisian Thunderbolt, the evil Johnny Thunder feared for his life. He commanded the Thunderbolt to turn back time to before he and the Justice Society's Johnny Thunder met, thereby preventing Monk Loomis and the rest of the crooks from becoming the Lawless League.

Aside from the Bahdnisian Thunderbolt, no one else kept any memories of the Lawless League.
