Well lo and behold on the day prior known as the day of
Tues, people assembled in a magical land known as New
Jersey to partake in... VULGARTHON '98!!! And
weeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, of course I
had the spies on hand, and here is their report.
The first guy named DUBA... (ummm... o..... k....) had
this to say...
My brother and I just returned from Kevin Smith's
Vulgarthon '98. During a Q & A session, Kevin let us in
on two cool things. The first is that Jason Lee has been
asked to portray Azreal in Smith's forthcoming film Dogma
that should begin filming in March '98. The second tidbit
is that Warner Brothers have asked him to write the script
for DC's Green Lantern movie that is in development! He
couln't really tell us anymore about G.L., I just wanted
to share this cool new with you! Keep up the good work!

More confirmation came today that Batman is not dead,
but merely sleeping.. Warnerís is going to take itís
time letting the Bat out of his cave again, but that
Schumacher was told by Warner execs to make a
movie that would sell merchandise. Well it has sold
$125 million in merchandise, and a mere $110 million
or so at the box office. Of course a great Batman film
would have doubled or tripled those numbers, and I
think that is sinking into Warner noggins. Also this
fella says that there is a Green Lantern project
floating around at Warners.
I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT WHERE THIS PROJECT
IS AT!!!! I love this character, and want to see him
done justice ala the Gil Kane version. Once again sorry
if you like the Golden Age or Guy Gardner version, I
prefer Gilís Green Lantern.

Meanwhile I got this word on the GREEN LANTERN project
from the Paisley M & M.
"Last I heard it was at Silver Pictures. A draft had
been written by Alex Zamm which stunk and everyone had
pretty much given up on it, but that was some time ago.
The Warner mandated approach--use the ring to make as
many outlandish hammers, boxing gloves and giant bugs
bunnies as possible--failed miserably. Perhaps they
learned a lesson from Batman 4 and have changed
Well personally I like big green outlandish hammers,
and I want good ol Sinestro with his reddened David
Niven-ish face and yellow power ring. But then I love
my dagdum silver age comics.
