HISTORY

A member of the United Planets Lantern Corps, Katanak and a squad of Lanterns were dispatched to apprehend Green Lantern John Stewart. Katanak quickly realized there was a much greater threat as his fellow Lanterns were slain by the Radiant Dead. Though he allied himself with Stewart, Katanak was soon outflanked and cut down by their shared enemy. One of his last actions was to sever his and to allow his power ring to warn the United Planets and seek a successor.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

As a Green Lantern, Katanak possessed a power ring and likely a power battery. It is not known if Katanak's United Planets' ring differed from the Oan rings, or if like others in the UP Lantern Corps, Katanak was able to harness the powers of the other colors in the Emotional Magnetic Spectrum.
